Yes, We Have Prom—And It’s Amazing! 

Just because Insight School of Kansas (ISKS) is an online school doesn’t mean our students miss out on big high school moments—like prom! 

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, we hosted our annual in-person prom at the gorgeous Heritage Center at Mahaffie, and it was a total blast. Students in grades 9–12 came dressed to impress for a night full of dancing, laughter, and Parisian charm (yes, our theme was Paris—ooh la la!). About 100 students and guests showed up ready to celebrate, and the energy was incredible. 

One student shared, “I loved the music, dancing, and meeting new friends.” Another said, “My favorite part was when all the energy starts to soften and everyone gets comfortable. We all start dancing around and talking to people we never met.” That’s what prom is all about—making new friends, sharing unforgettable moments, and having a great time. 

There were games, snacks, and plenty of time to socialize. For many, the highlight was just being together in person. One student put it best: “By attending prom, I made a lot of new friends. I can’t wait for next year’s prom!” 

At ISKS, we’re proud to offer our students real connections and real fun—all while learning virtually. Prom is just one of the many ways we make sure our students feel seen, celebrated, and part of something special.
